Jerramy Stevens, the husband of U. Jim Brown Jersey .S. national team goalkeeper Hope Solo, was driving a team vehicle when he was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence earlier this week, a person familiar with the details of the arrest said Thursday. The person spoke to The Associated Press on the condition of anonymity because they could not discuss the case publicly.TMZ first reported the details regarding the vehicle.Stevens, a former tight end for the Seattle Seahawks, was pulled over in Manhattan Beach, California, about 1:30 a.m. Monday for driving without headlights. Solo was the only passenger in the car but she was not arrested or detained.U.S. Soccer on Wednesday suspended Solo from the national team for 30 days. She will not travel to a pair of exhibition matches next month in Europe.Solo was in Southern California for training camp with the team, which is preparing to play in the World Cup starting in June.I think its best for me to take a break, decompress from the stress of the last several months, and come back mentally and physically ready to positively contribute to the team, Solo said in a statement following her suspension. It was the latest off-field trouble for the 33-year-old Olympian. Earlier this month, a judge dismissed two misdemeanour counts of domestic violence against her. The charges stemmed from an altercation with her half-sister and 17-year-old nephew at a party in Washington state last June.Solo had pleaded not guilty in that case, and she continued to play for the U.S. team and with her National Womens Soccer League team, the Seattle Reign, while awaiting trial. Her last appearance in a match with the national team was in December, when she started in a scoreless draw against Brazil in the championship game of the 2014 International Tournament of Brasilia.During our current national team camp, Hope made a poor decision that has resulted in a negative impact on U.S. Soccer and her teammates, coach Jill Ellis said in a statement Wednesday. We feel at this time it is best for her to step away from the team.Solo will be eligible for reinstatement after the suspension, pending review and approval by U.S. Soccer and Ellis.U.S. Soccer did not comment further on the matter. The suspension comes at a critical time for the U.S. team. Following the exhibition matches in February, the U.S. team will play in the Algarve Cup in March before opening World Cup play on June 8 against Australia in Winnipeg, Manitoba.Stevens was released with a citation to appear in Los Angeles Superior Court on March 19. DALLAS -- Former Dallas Cowboys defensive tackle Josh Brent wasnt drunk, as police contend, when he wrecked his Mercedes in a crash that killed a teammate, Brents lawyer told jurors Monday at the start of his trial. Air Max 90 Noir femme . Brent was "guilty of being stupid behind the wheel of a car," not driving drunk on the night of the December 2012 crash that killed his close friend and teammate, Jerry Brown, defence attorney George Milner said. Milners opening remarks signalled that he would try to discredit evidence of Brents drinking central to the states case, including a blood test that allegedly pegged Brents blood alcohol content at more than twice the legal limit and dash cam video that jurors saw Monday showing Brent failing a field sobriety test at the scene. If convicted of intoxication manslaughter or manslaughter, Brent could be sentenced to up to 20 years in prison. Milner argued in his opening statement that the tall, lumbering Brent, who was a 320-pound lineman when he played for the Cowboys, could drink more than the average person without becoming intoxicated. "Josh Brent is as big as a house," Milner said. "Hes got a heart -- better yet a mind -- of a person much younger than he really is." Prosecutor Heath Harris said receipts would prove that on the night of the crash, Brent bought cocktails with several shots of liquor in them and three bottles of Champagne at a night club. Brent told officers right after the crash that he hadnt had any hard liquor. "This is not a difficult case, ladies and gentlemen," Harris said. "There will be no disputing the fact that he was drinking that night." Dash cam video played for the jury Monday showed an officer asking Brent about how much he had had to drink while paramedics were trying to save Brown, a linebacker on the Cowboys practice squad who was also a teammate of Brents at the University of Illinois. "Ive had a reasonable amount," Brent is heard saying on the video. The officer, Kevin Palms, testified that Brent had watery eyes, an odour of alcohol and occasional issues with speaking. The video shows a field sobriety test in which Brent occasionally stumbles as he tries to walk in a straight line and takes more steps than the officer asked. But Milner told jurors during his opening remarks that nobody could have passed a field sobriety test after such a fiery wreck. Brent suffered scrapes to his head in the crash, and the video shows him taking the test with a wrap around his head. "Nobodys going to be able to do the tricks on the side of the road" after a crash of that severity, Milner said. Milner raised several alternate reasons for Brent failing the tests: His size made it hard for him to balance, the powder from his cars air bags made his eyes watery, and the crash had a lingering impact on him. Palms started to grow exasperated as Milner repeatedly questioned why officers made him take the tests. "We gave him every opportunity to go to the hospital," Palms said. "If he says no, (paramedics) cant force him to go. Am I supposed to just let him walk home?" Brents attorney has argued his client deserves probation, and Browns mother says she has forgiven her sons college teammate and friend. But prosecutors have made Brents case a priority, and it comes on the heels of another well-publicized case in neighbouring Tarrant County in which a teenage driver was sentenced to probation in a drunken crash that killed four people. Brent, a defensive tackle, had played in all 12 games of the 2012 NFL season prior to the crash. He retired in July. Brown was signed to the Cowboys practice squad that season. Nike Air Force One Basse Bleu .com) - No. 4 Duke missed 10 of its first 11 looks from behind the arc and trailed by nine points late in the second half. Air Max 90 Noir Et Rouge . -- Danica Patrick cleared a path for her teammates in NASCARs new knockout qualifying that led to a Turner Scott Motorsports rout at Daytona International Speedway.DURHAM, N.C. -- Duke can finally take a breather. Rodney Hood scored 21 points to help the sixth-ranked Blue Devils beat Virginia Tech 66-48 on Tuesday night, a game that followed a demanding stretch that included games against their fiercest rival and the nations top-ranked team in a span of about 48 hours. Duke (23-6, 12-4 Atlantic Coast Conference) completed a stretch of five games in 11 days by beating the last-place Hokies (9-18, 2-13). "We need to get away a little bit," coach Mike Krzyzewski said. "We need to review our stuff instead of always planning for someone elses stuff." The Blue Devils fought to the final second to hold off Maryland on Feb. 15, then travelled to Georgia Tech before losing the weather-delayed rivalry game at North Carolina. Two nights later, they held off then-No. 1 Syracuse at home, then returned once more to Cameron Indoor Stadium to beat Virginia Tech in what Krzyzewski called "a grueling stretch." "Its kind of like -- I dont know if you do this -- getting that last bit out," Krzyzewski said. "Even though youve got two full containers, youre going to get that last little bit. Today was kind of, lets get it out there." Duke doesnt play again until next Wednesdays trip to Wake Forest, followed by the regular-season finale against UNC at Cameron Indoor Stadium on March 8. The Blue Devils have won 32 straight home games, the longest streak in the nation. "Probably everybody in the back of their minds was looking forward to (the break)," sophomore Rasheed Sulaimon said, "but at the same time we knew we had to take care of business." Hood said the coaches didnt let the players ease into this one, jumping on them about a sluggish pregame shootaround. The Blue Devils responded by running out to a 24-4 lead midway through the first half, though they struggled to land a game-finishing blow. "We started to warm up and we came back in and they got us pretty good because we didnt look like we were ready to go out there and fight," Hood said. "I mean, weve got to be prepared for that. The ACC tournament, you can play three or four games in three or four days so theres no excuse for us. Air Max 90 Noir. . I think its taxing on us, but weve got to be ready and get rejuvenated for next week." The win, along with Clemsons loss at Wake Forest, helped secure some extra rest for the Blue Devils. They are assured a top-four seed in Greensboro and the double-round bye that comes with it. Sulaimon scored 15 points for the Blue Devils, who shot 39 per cent and went 10 for 33 from 3-point range -- well below their ACC-leading 40.7 per cent from behind the arc. Freshman Trevor Thompson matched his season-high with 15 points for Virginia Tech, which has won once since the start of the calendar year. The injury-depleted Hokies have failed to reach 60 points in 10 of those 14 games. Still, Virginia Tech shot 48 per cent after halftime to keep the Blue Devils from running away with it. Virginia Tech finished with 15 turnovers, six from freshman Devin Wilson, that led to 22 points for the Blue Devils. The Hokies also went 8 minutes without a basket in the second half as Duke crept further ahead. "They do what bothers us, that pressure defence bothers us," Hokies coach James Johnson said. "And they did a good job with that. And at that time (in the second half), were probably running out of gas a little bit." Duke ran out to a 15-2 lead on Sulaimons first 3-pointer, then pushed ahead by 20 points when Sulaimon knocked down another 3 at the 9:50 mark. Virginia Tech closed the gap to 32-20 by halftime thanks to a spark from C.J. Barksdale, who had nine points on 4-for-4 shooting, and got within 34-27 on Jarell Eddies driving score with 17:59 left. But Sulaimon knocked down two 3s then reserve big man Marshall Plumlee slammed home a miss to push the lead to 51-36. The Hokies never got the lead to single digits again. Virginia Tech was short-handed once again for this game. Second-leading scorer Adam Smith (11 points) missed his 10th straight game with a left calf injury, third-leading scorer Ben Emelogu (10.8) missed his second straight with a left ankle injury while reserve forward Cadarian Raines played just 1 minute after being listed as questionable with an ankle injury. Cheap Jerseys For Sale Cheap NFL Jerseys Wholesale Jerseys Supply Cheap NFL Jerseys China Cheap NFL Jerseys ' ' '

EDMONTON -- The Edmonton Eskimos are rapidly erasing thoughts of last years disappointing season. Red White Nike Roshe Run Womens Shoes . Adarius Bowman reeled in three touchdown passes as the Eskimos came away with a 27-11 victory over the expansion Ottawa Redblacks on Friday. The Eskimos improved to 3-0 on the season under rookie head coach Chris Jones and 2-0 on their home turf at Commonwealth Stadium. By contrast, Edmonton only won one home game last year and were 1-9 in their first 10 games last season on their way to a disappointing 4-14 campaign. Jones said it was an impressive performance by Bowman, if not a flawless one. "He did a pretty good job, he had one drop tonight, which I feel was more about concentration -- he tried to run before he caught the football -- but he did some very nice things and made a good catch late," Jones said of Bowman, who leads the CFL with four touchdown catches on the season. "It was good to have him. Anytime you have a guy thats hot, you try to put the football in his hands." Bowman said it was important that he bounce back after a poor performance the week before against Hamilton. "I went into this game just working on being more consistent all around," he said. "Thats the game of football, youve got to be able to keep your head in it." The Redblacks are still searching for their first win this season, sitting at 0-2 since the CFL returned to Ottawa. "It was disappointing," said Redblacks head coach Rick Campbell. "It was a defensive game for a long time and going back and forth and we were hanging in there. We just came up a few plays short. Its always tough to lose. This is two weeks in a row that we have been up at the half and havent been able to get a win. Its a long season though. "Its tough right now, but there is a lot of football still to be played. As long as we continue to get better, I think well be competitive." The game started quietly, with the only scoring in the first quarter coming from a punt single by Eskimos kicker Grant Shaw. The Redblacks went the entire first quarter without an offensive first down. Ottawa scored midway through the second quarter as Chevon Walker got loose on a handoff from quarterback Henry Burris and blazed 65 yards into the end zone to put the Redblacks up 7-1. Edmonton got into scoring range late in the second but Shaws 23-yard field goal attempt at the buzzer was wide to make it 7-2 Ottawa at the half. The Eskimos woke up to start the third quarter, marching down the field on their first possession before QB Mike Reilly found Bowman for a 41-yard pass-and-run touchdown. That play was followed by a single on the ensuing kickoff to put Edmonton in front 10-7. Shaw added another punt single seven minutes into the third. Ottawa wasnt getting full value for its field goal attempts as well, as Brett Maher missed a 36-yarder with just over a minute to play in the third for another single to make it 11-8 Edmonton heading into the final frame. The Eskimos added to their lead just 52 seconds into the fourth quarter as Reilly hooked up with his favourite target on the night again, passing to Bowman, who made a beautiful one-handed catch for a 30-yard TD strike. The Edmonton defence came up big three minutes into the fourth as they stuffed a third-and-one gamble at the Ottawa 25-yard-line to turn the ball over on downs. The Esks made the most of the opportunity as Reilly rolled out on a play fake and passed to Bowman for a one-yard TD and a 25-8 lead. The Redblacks chipped back with a 34-yard Maher field goal with five-and-a-half minutes remaining. Edmonton got a safety with two minutes left when Marcus Howard sacked Burris in the end zone. The Eskimos return to action next Thursday in Winnipeg, while the Redblacks have their first home game in their newest incarnation next Friday against Toronto. Notes: The Edmonton Eskimos came into the game with a 37-21-2 all-time record against Ottawa CFL franchisesa Ottawa had a lineup laced with former Eskimos players and coaches. The eight former Edmonton players in the lineup for the Redblacks included Marcus Henry, T.J. Hill, Justin Capicciotti, Alexander Krausnick, Matt Carter, Dobson Collins, Brandon Lang, and Carlton Mitchell, while the six coaches who spent time in Edmonton before moving on to Ottawa are head coach Rick Campbell, Mark Nelson, Marcus Crandell, Travis Moore, Leroy Blugh and Jordan Maksymica The Eskimos were without the services of star linebacker J.C. Rackley started 11 games in 2013, missing five games with a head injury. He sat out the entire 2012 season with an ankle injury and has 25 career starts at left guard. He is expected to compete for a starting job in the middle of the line. Baltimore also signed running back Shaun Chapas and tight end Phillip Supernaw on Monday. Chapas has played in six career games and Supernaw played one game with Houston last year. If youre keeping track, the last time a practice day was lost to the weatherman was back in 2003, and we all know how that turned out. Mondays rain fell for a long time and it was punctuated with some great lightning and thunder exhibitions. Our TSN crew wasnt even allowed on the grounds to tape our segments, forced to wait it out for six hours in the international broadcast centre, tucked away behind the Par 3 course. Meanwhile, Canadas two participants this week were passing the time in different ways. Rowdy friends from Saskatchewan in one house (might we see the first Melonhead at Augusta?), he and his family in the other. Mike Weir, making his 15th start at Alister MacKenzies masterpiece, managed to play nine holes before the storms and pronounced himself in good form. "Ive been playing pretty well," he said, after touring the back nine alongside Jason Day and reigning British Amateur champion Garrick Porteous. "I just havent been scoring well. The last month, Ive felt very good about my game – I just havent gotten the ball in the hole." Of course, Weir plays with a little more spring in his step around this course, drawing on the memories of his 2003 win. "Its special any time you come here," said Weir, who has missed the cut in his last three starts at the Masters. Nike Air Huarache Baratas. "You just kind of soak in the good feelings of the essence of the game." Tuesday morning, the Canadians will head out together, like Master Po and Grasshopper, Weir hoping to lend his local knowledge to the first-timer DeLaet. "He has all the power in the world and his short game has really rounded into form the last couple of years," said Weir, analyzing DeLaets game. "I think this course really sets up well for him. Hes such a great driver of the ball and its an underrated fact that people dont talk about too much, driving the ball around Augusta National and I think its a real key if you can get that ball in the short grass. With his power, I think he can really do well here." Weir acknowledged that while he and DeLaet have chatted casually a few times already, its been mostly about off-course stuff – how the tournament is run, what to expect at the gates and that sort of thing. During their round, hell offer details about slopes on greens, where to miss and maybe even point out the former location of the Eisenhower Tree, which met its end in a wood chipper in February. Weir has never had the opportunity to mentor a young Canadian at the Masters, which may say a great deal about the status of golf north of the 49th over the past decade or so. Hes been the lone guy with the Maple Leaf on his bag since 2010 when Stephen Ames no longer qualified. But Tuesday, under what appears to be sunny skies with warming temps, hell get that chance. SOUTH BEND, Ind. Cheap Jerseys Free Shipping . -- Steve Vasturia made sure Notre Dame didnt let Clemson rally back and force a third overtime. The Fighting Irish led most of the way against the Tigers on Tuesday night, going up by as many as nine points early in the second half, by seven points with just under 3 minutes remaining in regulation and by four with 24 seconds left in the first overtime before Vasturia hit two 3-pointers in the second overtime to help Notre Dame pull out the 68-64 victory. "We had it won a couple times, we handed it back a couple times, but found a way to win it," Notre Dame coach Mike Brey said. Clemson coach Brad Brownell blamed his teams offensive struggles. "Were just not as talented offensively as we need to be. Were very inconsistent shooting," he said. Vasturia hit the first 3 to give the Irish a 63-62 lead early then added a second with 62 seconds left that gave Notre Dame a 66-64 lead. Pat Connaughton then added a pair of free throws to help the Irish overcome a career-high 30 points and 14 rebounds by Clemsons K.J. McDaniels. Vasturia said he was open because the Tigers were focusing on Eric Atkins, who hit a game-winning 3-pointer in overtime against Boston College 10 days earlier. "A lot of teams are going to key on Eric just by the way he scores and creates. If we have open looks, were expected to shoot them and were confident we can make them," he said. Atkins said Vasturia, who was 1-of-5 from the field and 0-of-3 from behind the arc heading into the second overtime, showed a lot of confidence. "Hes not scared of the moment and I love that about him," he said. McDaniels said the baskets by Vasturia were key "He hit some big shots, and they were hard to cover. In the end, they came up with some clutch shots," he said. The Fighting Irish (13-12, 4-8 Atlantic Coast Conference) avoided falling below .500 for the first time this late in the season since finishing 14-16 during the 1998-99 season in John MacLeods last year as coach. Brey said the victory was "huge" for the struggling Irish. "We would have been really struggling if we didnt win this game," he said. Clemson (15-8, 6-5) lost back-to-back games for just the second time this season. McDaniels said the Tigers need to show the same intensity at the beginning of the game as they did at the end. "Were going to learn from this," he said. Both teams squandered chances to win the game earlier. Rod Hall could have given the Tigers, playing on only a days rest after losing at Syracuse on Sunday, a one-point lead with 4.6 seconds left, but missed the first of two free throws, sending the game into overtime. The Irish opened a 60-56 lead in the first overtime on a three-point play by Connaughton, but couldnt hang on. The Tigers scored two baskets in the final 10 seconds and Landry Nnoko then stole the inbounds pass. After being fouled by Connaughton with 8.4 seconds left, Nnoko, a 57 per cent free-throw shooter, made both to tie the score at 60. After another turnover by Atkins, McDaniels missed a long jumper at the first overtime buzzer. "There were a few times when I looked up at the scoreboard and said, We got this," Atkins said. "Then they made some plays and got a couple of turnovers and they tied it back up again." McDaniels, who also had five blocked shots, was 13-of-24 from the field, while the rest of the Tigers were 11 of 46. The only other Clemson player in double figures was Hall with 12 points. Zach Auguste matched his career-high with 14 points and had a career-high 12 rebounds. Connaughton added 13 points and seven rebounds and Vasturia finished with 11 points. The Irish out-rebounded Clemson 43-40 and had a 30-26 edge in points in the paint. But Clemson forced 12 turnovers and had 16 points off turnovers compared with just two for the Irish. Notre Dame freshman Demetrius Jackson, who has been struggling lately, was not at the game. Brey said he is taking some time off to focus on academics. Brey said Garrick Sherman, Notre Dames leading scorer, may have broken his finger in the first half, although he continued to play. The Irish have now won nine of their last 10 overtime games. Cheap Jerseys ., to Washington, D.C., to watch their son Tanner pitch in the Nationals home opener.
